Workshops:

Working as an illustrator can be quite lonely sometimes so I love any opportunity to lead an illustration workshop, visit a book fair or school!

I have had the pleasure of leading a number of illustration workshops at The Rabbit Hole independent bookshop in Brigg for children aged between 4-14 years old. The workshops have focused on mark making and experimenting using different materials and tools as well as character design and story telling through drawing.

Book Fairs:

During March 2020, I was invited to take part in Kids Book Fest Lincolnshire, the first children’s book festival in North Lincolnshire. It was an amazing and inspiring day full of different local children’s book authors and illustrators, book readings, workshops and activities.

I really enjoyed setting up a workshop stand for children to experiment with painting animals with natural tools such as charcoal, sticks and leaves in order to create their own ‘cave painting’ style artwork.
