School Visits

Hello there!

I am children’s author and illustrator based in Nottinghamshire, originally from Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, UK.

‘The National Literacy trust recently published a report which indicates that author visits to schools have a positive relationship with children and young people’s reading skills, and their enjoyment and confidence in both reading and writing.’

Would your school, bookshop, library or kids club like to have an author and illustrator visit your children either in-person or virtually?

If so please check out what I offer below!

Reviews

“As a school we were keen to organise an art workshop that allowed our children to build on previously taught skills in a new and exciting way. Anna’s workshop was the perfect way to do this, especially since the children were mesmerized by her beautiful illustrations in her book “The Friendly Mammoth” Anna was so willing and eager to work alongside the art lead to tailor two online workshops for KS1 & KS2. Both providing our children with the chance to re-create an illustration of the mammoth in her story and let their imaginations run wild conjuring their own characters.

“I can’t believe I got to show my drawing to a real illustrator!”

“Anna used my idea in her drawings! I am so proud.”

“School is so exciting because we got to work with a professional illustrator.”

“I loved learning how to illustrate characters.”

“When I grow up I want to be an illustrator like Anna.”

Were just a few examples of the brilliant impact Anna’s workshop has on the children in our school.

The children also loved being able to ask a professional illustrator important questions about her job and hearing all about the process of becoming an illustrator and creating illustrations.

The online workshop was a real hit and made a great impact on our mini artists skills, imaginations and confidence when being artists. A brilliant service that we hope to return to again.”
